WE BELIEVE…

 

a. That Every Word of the Bible is the Infallible, Inerrant and Authoritative Word of God:We believe that the Bible is God's authoritative word and standard for our daily lives. That men wrote down what we now know as the Bible as the Holy Spirit dictated it to them. 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21

b. Personality and Trinity of the Godhead: We believe that there is one God personalizing Himself in three persons being God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are perfect and sinless. Each Person of the Trinity is equally God and totally united in purpose although they have different functions. Matthew 28:19; John 15:26

c. Virgin birth and Deity of Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and through the virgin birth He became fully man as well. Jesus lived a life without sin and died on the cross, rising from the grave on the third day as the complete payment for our past, present, and future sins, and is now our High Priest in Heaven and is interceding for us. Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-21; 1 John 1:7; Romans 8:11

d. Rapture of Christ’s Church: We believe that some day soon Jesus Christ will take those who have accepted Him as their personal Savior and Lord out of this World. We will then live with Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father forever. John 14:1-4; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51; 2 Corinthians 5:1-5

e. Born Again of the Holy Spirit: We believe this is only by the choice and personal invitation of each individual. This is the only way into the kingdom of Heaven. This is available to everyone who asks and is sincere from the heart. John 3:3-6; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5; Romans 10:9,10

f. Salvation: We believe that salvation of the soul is only through faith in Jesus Christ, the only Begotten Son Of God. [John 3:16] One who sincerely confesses their sins to the Lord and accepts Christ as their Savior will have an inner desire to turn from a life of sin unto a desire to live for Christ. [Romans 10:9-19] That through the sealing power, [Ephesians 1:13], of the Holy Spirit one can have eternal life in heaven with Christ, if one continues in the faith that comes through serving Christ. [Romans 11:19-21]

g. Eternal Punishment: We believe that there is an eternal punishment for all who reject Jesus Christ and His vicarious sacrifice for our sins. There are two eternities: The righteous spends eternity in Heaven - they are the Believers who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The Unrighteous spend eternity in the Lake of Fire, they are those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Revelation 20:15; 2nd Thessalonians 1:8,9; John 5:29

h. The Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is our only source of power for living a holy life. Upon request God will baptize us with His Holy Spirit and grants us the use of all God’s gifts, which are active and available today to all who have submitted to Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Acts 19:1-6; Ephesians 6:18; Acts 1:5

i. Biblical Creation: We believe that God’s desire is for us to understand creation as it is in the Bible without any gaps, additions or subtractions. To change the Biblical account of creation weakens the rest of the Bible including the heart of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Genesis is the foundation for the rest of Scripture. Genesis 1:1-2:25; Exodus 20:11; Exodus 31:17; 2 Peter 3:5; Colossians 1:15-17

j. Sanctity of Life: We believe that life is a gift from God. He decides when it will begin and He decides when it will end. Therefore, we believe in the protection of the unborn and the sanctity of human life from conception until natural death.  Jeremiah 1:5; Psalm 139:13-16; Exodus 20:13

k. Sanctity of Marriage: We believe that God has made it clear in the whole of Scripture that marriage is made up of one man and one woman only as defined genetically at birth, (no medication or surgery can change that fact) and this marriage is to be until death parts them. We also believe that God has made it clear that sex is to be saved until marriage, and then only between the husband and the wife alone, anything else is a sin. We also believe that sexual relations of man with man and woman with woman is also a sin and is stated so by God in Scripture. Romans 1:27; Matthew 19:4-6; Matthew 5:31,32; Matthew 19:8,9:  Luke 16:18; 1 Corinthians 6:16-20; 1 Corinthians 5:9-13

l. Love and Kindness: We believe that in all things we as Christians are to conduct ourselves in the spirit of love and kindness. John 13:34,35; Philippians 2:2-4; Romans 12:18
